My name is Thessa de Bode and I was born in Leiden. In the 80's I emigrated to the warm island of Curaçao with my parents. In 1997 I came back to the Netherlands to study Medical Biology. A few years later, I realized that I was not in the right place and I found out that midwifery was where my passion lay. After experiencing the first delivery, I knew for sure "yes, this is it!" In 2004 I graduated from the Nursery School for Midwives and after some observation in Amsterdam I finally settled in this practice

Where I still enjoy working with my dear colleagues. Being a midwife is always a very beautiful adventure; No day is the same, no client is the same. Every time it is a great challenge to give good care to all those different people in different situations. I live in Badhoevedorp with my partner and am the mother of a son (2015) and a daughter (2017). Both times I had given birth medically due to premature birth and breech presentation. I also felt how special it is to have a child of my own. And that it's overwhelming. I hope to be able to give you the care that suits you, from pregnancy, childbirth to maternity period and to embark on this adventure with you. See you at the practice!
