How do you prepare for childbirth?

Around 34 weeks, we’ll have an appointment to discuss the delivery While a birth plan is optional, it’s not required. During this appointment, we’ll go over any questions you may have, talk about where you’d like to give birth, and discuss the different pain relief methods available, along with their pros and cons. We’ll make sure all your preferences are clearly noted in your file. If you'd prefer to fill out a birth plan, you can find more information here:

Birthplan

A birth can’t be perfectly planned, but it’s helpful to consider various scenarios. You can prepare by attending a course or an information session at the hospital.

Useful information

Make sure to order a maternity package from your health insurance provider. This contains items we’ll use during the birth, such as a cord clamp or cord ring.
