In the first half of your pregnancy, you’ll have a check-up every 4 weeks. As your pregnancy progresses, these check-ups will become more frequent, and in the final weeks, they will be weekly. We monitor your baby’s growth through external examinations and ultrasounds, and at each check-up, we also routinely check your blood pressure and the baby’s heartbeat. We’ll also check your iron levels and address any other potential deficiencies in your blood. Occasionally, additional blood tests may be required, but we will always inform and discuss this with you beforehand. What can you expect from your pregnancy check-ups?We will ask how you’re experiencing the pregnancy and discuss any Symptoms or complaints you may have. Around 34 weeks, we will go over the birth process, instructions for when to call us, and any specific preferences you have. Sometimes extra appointments or ultrasounds are necessary or desired, and we’ll discuss this together. If you’re not feeling well or have concerns, please let us know. We are here for you, whether you’re feeling down, anxious, or just need to talk. |
